Emily is 17 and a junior at New Hartford High School. Emily enjoys playing with her two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels–Shadow (seen in the photo) and Bodhi–and playing video games and often goes through different phases of favorite franchises. Right now she enjoys playing Minecraft and Persona 5 Royal. Emily is part of the Chess & More club at school. She enjoys this club because it is less about competing and more about connecting with peers and playing board games against one another.
Emily joined journalism because she is looking for a new hobby, and does not want her schedule filled with study halls when she has nothing to do. She sees this class as an opportunity to become more productive and organized during her academic career. After high school, Emily wants to attend MVCC for two years, before transferring to Boston University. She is looking to study social work to become a therapist, hoping to become like the therapists who helped her.
