With seven seconds left in the game Jameson Stockwell stands at the foul line. The crowd feels the tension knowing he is two points away from scoring 1,000 points in his high school career. The crowd holds up two fingers silently hoping he scores. When they heard two swishes, Coach Randall called a time out and the team ran on the court to congratulate Jameson as the crowd cheered him for becoming the 9th student at NH to score over 1000 career points for boys basketball.
The team also defeated Proctor 72-60 during this historic game on January 31st, 2025 in the high school gym.
“It felt great. It was nice to have an accomplishment like that, but more importantly the support and effort everyone else showed for me was my favorite part. So many friends, family, and people from the community reached out to me and it made it a special moment for me,” said Jameson Stockwell.

Jameson was injured for 10 games during the season and was still able to hit the 1,000 point mark this season. He was happy that it worked out for the game to be at home.
“It was definitely a goal,” said Jameson Stockwell. Since I was little, I always wanted to beat my Dad and grandpa’s high school career point totals, which were both over 2,000. After realizing how many points this really is for only 4 years, I looked and saw 1,000 was very reasonable and it became something which I started to get more excited about. I am glad I was able to do it even though it isn’t 2,000.”
“Awesome Experience”, said Coach Goodelle after seeing Jameson hit 1,000 points. Coach Goodelle said he works extremely hard and that Jameson should be very proud of his accomplishment.

“Jameson is fun to coach as well,” said Coach Goodelle. His understanding of the game of basketball makes it fun for me to challenge him at a very high level. He asks questions and wants to become a better player; his ceiling is very high and he has a lot of upside left in his game. I wish I was able to coach him a little longer. He will be fun to watch at the next level for sure.”
“It was amazing seeing him score 1,000 points,” said teammate Geo Frattasio.
“After the game, seeing all the fans and teammates come together was an incredible experience to be a part of,” said Geo. He likes playing with Jameson. He praises the way he shoots the ball so well and admires how he always comes in clutch at the end of the game with his shot-blocking ability.

What helps Jameson perform at a high level is motivation, hard work, and help from many others. He is always working out and trying to improve himself, but so are his coaches and teammates too. Jameson said his dad, who is a college coach, plays a big part in making his game better and will always work with him and help him with advice. He puts in a ton of time with him.
“My coaches come to practice every day, and put effort into believing and helping me. Also my teammates show up every day and give their best effort to helping each other get better and become our best selves. As someone who likes to work hard at something I love, it really helps when other people do this as well and we can together use this to succeed,” said Jameson Stockwell.
Jameson after high school is going to a Prep school to play one more year of basketball before going to the college level.
