Once a student here at New Hartford, now a Teacher
Ms. Pearlman is an algebra teacher at New Hartford, she’s been working in the district for 3 years now.
In an interview with Ms. Pearlman she explains how one of her favorite things about working at the school she formally went to was “giving back to the school that gave so much to me” said Ms. Pearlman.
After graduating from New Hartford high school she attended college at Binghamton University and Boston University and later returned back to the New Hartford district to become an algebra teacher.
Students from New Hartford School District describe Ms. Pearlman as a positive, and caring person.
“I would describe her as preserving and very positive,” said Anthony Pease a student of Ms. Pearlman’s. “She knows what she needs to get done and she gets it done”
Another thing Ms. Pearlman enjoys teaching is “Getting to work with amazing students and watching them grow and become confident with themselves as well as their math skills,” said Ms. Pearlman.
Ms. Pearlman is patient and helpful towards her algebra students, she makes math fun to learn even though math can be difficult to understand at times.
“I like her teaching style because it’s very helpful, organized and she makes it fun,” said Briana Hill, a sophomore at New Hartford High School.
When Ms. Pearlman isn’t teaching algebra at school, she enjoys listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
