Senior Melody Tavares has a wide variety of interests and talents, spanning from cozying up with a good dramatic novel to modeling. This year is her first year writing for Spartan Expressions, but she is looking forward to contributing during her final year here at New Hartford. She enjoys writing, so journalism was the perfect class for her!

Melody is fond of her science classes, as she finds it fascinating performing hands-on experiments. Outside of class, she enjoys decompressing with a good book and watching her favorite NFL team, The Eagles. Melody could be characterized as a passionate, hard worker as she holds sticking to her goals close to her heart. Melody always takes a positive attitude when it comes to school, and is up for any academic challenge.

Using her positive vibes, and overall welcoming attitude, Melody is looking at going straight into a career of real estate after high school. With her gracious demeanor, Melody is destined for greatness.
