What could be more fun than Spending time with your friends in the snow? Whether you’re a beginner, average, or advanced, ski and snowboarding club offers the opportunity to make new friends and brush up on your skills. The club meets every Thursday for about four hours at Woods Valley in Westerville, where everyone enjoys an adrenaline filled time while going down challenging mountains. This ski resort has 14 trails ranging from a bunny hill to upper Timmys, which offers a challenging experience.
Senior Gia Manzo has been part of this club for three years, as her time is quickly coming to an end she is grateful for all the memories she has made.
“When I was a Sophomore I decided to join this club because I wanted to go skiing more often and this club gave me the opportunity to do so,” Gia said.
Both Gia and fellow junior Sofia Velleto enjoy the club because they can spend more time with their friends during the weekdays while also doing something that they both love.
“This club gives everyone an opportunity to have a fun experience no matter what level they are at,” said Sofia Velleto.
While this is Sofia’s first year as a part of the club, she is quickly learning new snowboarding skills.
“I finally landed my jump!” Sofia said excitedly. “ I can already see an improvement in my skills from just going once a week.”
Another junior, Sophia West, also shared her enthusiasm for the Ski and Snowboard club and recommends the club to other students.
“All students should think about joining this club,” Sophia West said. “ It’s an enjoyable experience for everyone involved! My favorite part about the club is that I have the chance to participate in a sport that I so much enjoy.”
Ski and Snowboarding club is coming to an end with spring around the corner, but everyone will have the opportunity to sign up next year!
