The spices used to make this desert like cinnamon, nutmeg and more, mixed with the pumpkin filling create a comforting and delicious flavor! It is a traditional favorite for Thanksgiving, as it is a staple recipe in many families. Buzzfeed ranks it as the number one favorite fall recipe in their article, “19 Best Fall Treats To Make This Season”. Jen Shori Adams, from Buzzfeed, says, “Once you make it, you’ll be hooked all season long.” Make sure you bake a pumpkin pie this fall season!
4. North Star Apple Orchard
Visiting North Star Apple Orchard is definitely a must do this fall. There are amazing apple fall treats like their signature apple cider, apple cider donuts, and popcorn that you are welcome to eat on the hayride which takes you to the orchards.
When asked what his favorite part of North Star Apple Orchard, NH student Cutler Cristiano says, “The hayride was definitely very fun and exciting.”
When you arrive and take the hayride to the orchards, you are greeted with many rows of apple trees with varieties including, Jonamac, Northern Spy, Ida Red, McIntosh, Golden Delicious & Empire and Crimson Crisp. It costs $12 for a 12 pound (1 peck) bag, or $24 for a 24 pound (½ bushel) bag. North Star Apple Orchard is a fun place to visit this fall season with family and friends!
3. Clinton Cider Mill
The Clinton Cider Mill has varieties of sweet treats and warm fall comfort foods for sale. It is located in the town of Clinton, NY, just outside of New Hartford. They sell many types of pies like pumpkin, cherry, pecan, a few types of apple pies, and many more flavors. They also sell different types of pot pies and other fall dishes that are definitely worth a try. If you come to the Clinton Cider Mill, make sure to take home some of their house made Apple Cider and Apple Cider Donuts!

The Cider Mill is open every day from August to Thanksgiving weekend on Mondays through Saturdays from 10 am – 6am. On Sundays, they are open from 10am – 5pm. They are located in the Clinton Village and are a must try this fall!
2. Savicki’s Pumpkin Patch
Savicki’s Farm and Pumpkin Patch is an awesome outing to go to next fall. They are open from May to October. As their season came to an end they offered Weekend Hayrides, Yoga in the Sunflowers, Sunset Autumn Yoga and many other activities on the farm. They had a great pumpkin patch this season and also sold fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the season. They sold delish desserts inside their market and many other goods. Next fall season, be sure to stop by Savicki’s Farm Market!
1. Pumpkin Junction
Pumpkin Junction is located off Graffenburg Rd and is one of New Hartford’s best fall attractions. They have an awesome pumpkin patch with so many types of pumpkins to choose from. Kids can have their birthdays there and it is an all around fun experience for the kids. There is a fall/Halloween decoration store inside that seems miles long with so many unique decorations for your home. While you’re there, you must ride the bus that rides through the property.
Maddie Lynch, a senior, says, “I would recommend to go in the corn maze and get apple cider donuts, they are really good. Also, the bus ride throughout the pumpkin patch was really fun as well.”
Pumpkin Junction is a fun attraction in the New Hartford area to do this fall. You are able to purchase fall treats such as apple cider donuts, cookies, and many other sweet treats!
