Piggy Pat’s Smoke and Ale House is a barbecue style restaurant in New Hartford. I like the pig on Piggy Pat’s sign. Piggy Pat’s website says that it “is a true Southern-style BBQ restaurant located in Washington Mills, NY. Our meats are seasoned with our in-house rub then smoked for hours to perfection. Every bite is mouth-watering and delicious.”
I really like Piggy Pat’s and have been there many times with my family. I always get the chicken tenders and I highly recommend them. For this column, I interviewed three people who have eaten at Piggy Pat’s.
The first person I interviewed was Lia Fornino. One of her favorite meals at Piggy Pat’s is Chicken and Waffles with Mac and Cheese. She normally goes to Piggy Pat’s with her mom, dad and two brothers. Lia enjoys when there is a band playing; she likes listening to the live music.
The second person I interviewed was my brother Luke Radel. Luke said he has been there for lunch and dinner. Luke likes Piggy Pat’s barbecue chicken sandwich. Luke usually goes to Piggy Pat’s with his family and friends. Luke likes the cookies at Piggy Pat’s. Luke recommends going to Piggy Pat’s.
The last person I interviewed was Tommy Vitagliano. Tommy has been to Piggy Pat’s over ten times with family. Tommy is a fan of the chicken tenders too. I like them because they have a nice spice to them, but they aren’t hot. Tommy says, “I like it at Piggy Pat’s because their atmosphere is awesome and I like the food.” Tommy hasn’t tried Piggy Pat’s cookies, but he says he’ll try them next time. Tommy says they give you the perfect amount of food for the price. I agree!
Piggy Pat’s is a unique restaurant for Utica because it focuses on making good barbecue food in a nice atmosphere. Utica has a lot of Italian restaurants, so, Piggy Pat’s is different which helps it stand out. Unlike Outback and Olive Garden, Piggy Pat’s is not a chain restaurant. If you want to try their food, you have to come here. They also offer live music and trivia nights which bring in crowds and give you some entertainment while you eat. I really like the food at Piggy Pat’s. You can count on it being really good. The wait staff is always friendly and does a great job. If you haven’t been to Piggy Pat’s, be sure to go and give it a try. It won’t be the last time you go!
